Please include:
- Travel date and preferred pick-up time
- Pick-up location and destination
- Passenger numbers
- Luggage, bike or trailer requirements
- Flight, ferry or event times if relevant
- Any extra stops or multiple pick-up/drop-off points
Pre-booking is strongly recommended for airport transfers, group transport, tours, public holidays, Sundays and transport outside normal taxi hours.
Hours of operation
Local Motueka taxi hours vary by season. Winter hours are generally 8.00am to midnight, Monday to Saturday. Sunday is normally closed unless pre-booked.
Sundays and public holidays should be pre-booked at least 24 hours in advance where possible. Destination Tasman is closed on Christmas Day.
Mountain bike transport, group shuttles, airport transfers, private hire and event transport can often be arranged at times that suit your requirements, subject to availability.

Prices are one-way and apply in either direction unless noted. They may change with passenger numbers, luggage, bikes, waiting time, extra stops and availability.
Please be ready at your booked pick-up time. Due to the busy nature of the business, we may be unable to wait longer than 5 minutes without charging a cancellation or waiting fee.
Total Mobility cards
Motueka Taxis Ltd is a Total Mobility Card operator. If you have a Total Mobility Card, please show it to the driver so the eligible subsidy can be applied.
Booking policies
- Bookings may require a 50% non-refundable deposit within 7 days of confirmation.
- Bookings made and paid through an I-Site, information centre or booking agent must be cancelled through that same agent.
- Customer cancellations within 7 days are generally not refunded, but a credit may be offered subject to availability.
- Passenger numbers cannot normally be reduced within 4 days of travel.
- Cancellations must be phoned through. Email or text cancellations may not be accepted.
- No show, no phone call, no refund.
- Destination Tasman may refuse, alter or cancel transport where safety, illness, urgent obligations, misrepresentation or unacceptable behaviour is involved.
